Frequently Asked Questions

Sure Ham Radio Mail Box

Most common questions

Yes! Per the FCC, Ham Radio Operators are allowed to use their home address, Private Mailboxes, P.O. Boxes, their work address, etc. as long as its a United States physical address.

A P.O. Box is only available from the United States Postal Service and gives you a number, not a real street address address.

The USPS is the only shipping carrier authorized to deliver to PO Boxes located within Post Offices and won’t accept deliveries from UPS, FedEx, etc.

Additionally, they don’t offer services such as mail scanning, letter disposal, etc.

In order to start receiving mail to your HamVault mailbox the US Postal Service requires that your identity be verified. This is to prevent financial fraud, terroism etc.

We utilize the Veriff (KYC) Know Your Customer API for all identity verification. This service is utilized by some of the largest financial companies in the world for identity verification. All of our USPS identity verifications are provided free of charge to our customers.

In the event that you want any piece(s) of physical mail forwarded to your home address you will be responsible for the postage fees. Reach out to support@hamvault.com to arrange for this service.
